Tim's long-time musical home is one of the longest, continually-operating recording studios in Indiana. Founded by
Dave Langfitt in 1979, Tim started as a young client, became a partner, then fully took over the reins in 1996.

As a producer and engineer, Tim is continually involved in all sorts of media and music productions. He won an
Emmy Award in 1998 for his score to the internationally-aired public television documentary,
Hoosier Hoops: The Golden Era. His song
Tangled and Tempted was featured in the Polygram Films release
Going All The Way starring Ben Affleck and Rachel Weisz. He composed and produced the theme for the Emmy Award-winning weekly WFYI-20 series
Across Indiana and is an
Addy Award-winning composer of music for television and radio commercials.

Since 1986, he has also been principal composer/musical director for the
Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis, including productions of
The Three Penny Opera, Bat Boy: The Musical, and
Love/Person. Hit City is a full-service, commercial audio recording facility located in the heart of the Sobro (South Broad Ripple) arts and entertainment district in Indianapolis, IN. We feature analog and digital recording, an interesting selection of vintage recording and musical gear, a historic, creatively-vibrant vibe, and a great Tiki Bar Lounge.
The work
Tim (and Hit City) is available for original music and audio production for film, broadcast and theatre. He also regularly produces album and demo projects, especially rock, pop, and singer-songwriter projects.
